Unless otherwise specified, all Triune executive and task swivel chairs are equipped with a standard mechanical control which features 360 degree rotation, tilting action with adjustable resistance, and manually adjustable seat height.  For added comfort, convenience or special needs we offer the following three optional controls with active ergonomic features.  See your price list for availability on each style.

FT- Forward Tilt Features

This control offers all the benefits of our standard control plus a gas‑cylinder height control adjustment and the ability to allow the chair to tilt forward as well as the normal backward tilt.  These features are especially useful when a chair may be used by more than one person or if the user works at a keyboard.  Allowing the chair to tilt forward may eliminate back and leg strain.

KT- Knee Tilt Features

The KT control has the swivel and tilt and height adjustment features of our standard control.  Two features set it apart. 

First, the tilting action pivots near the front of the seat rather than under the center of the chair. The resulting action is a seat which remains at a near constant height at the front and lowers at the back when it is tilted.  The effect is a very comfortable "ride" without lifting the front of the chair. 

Second: A tilt‑lock feature allows the chair to be held in a no‑tilt position.

The KT is especially appropriate for use by an individual user who is more often engaged in telephone or interview activity and does minimal keyboard work. 

DX- Deluxe Control Features

The DX simply incorporates all the features of our other controls (360 degree rotation, backward/tilt, forward/tilt, gas cylinder height adjustment, knee tilt action) in one mechanism and adds a tilt‑lock which can be activated in any tilt position.  It offers the ultimate in active ergonomic controls and user convenience.
